Metadata
If you are interested in learning more about a specific map layer, you can easily access the metadata records, or data about the data. Metadata documents all of the specific details about the data you are viewing, including where and when the data was created, who maintains it, among much more technical information like projection and coordinate system. To view the metadata, click on the blue information icon to the right of the layer title in the map legend and the metadata will pop up. If the metadata is not currently accessible, the information icon will appear gray instead of blue.
